Quality Assurance Framework

What is quality audit?

NZQA is moving to a new quality assurance framework involving self-assessment and external evaluation and review . During the transition period some tertiary organisations will still undergo quality audits.

A quality audit enables NZQA to check on the quality of education and training being delivered. The audit evaluates the organisation's performance in relation to a quality standard. The standard that applies depends on the type of education organisation, as listed below.

Policies and Criteria for the Ongoing Registration of PTEs  
Industry training organisation (ITO) QA Standard for Industry Training Organisations
