Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education is responsible for policy advice, supporting initiatives, developing curriculum, allocating resources and monitoring effectiveness across the whole of the education sector. Because of this role, the Ministry has been responsible for the development of the achievement standards and the NCEA qualifications and the scholarship standards.
The Secondary Education Team in the Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Group of the Ministry of Education develops and maintains the assessment resources for the internally assessed standards and provided the professional development in preparation for the implementation of NCEA.

NCEA resources on Te Kete Ipurangi
The Ministry's Online Learning Centre (Te Kete Ipurangi or TKI) is a bilingual portal-plus web community which provides quality assured educational material for New Zealand teachers, school managers, and the wider education community.
A section of this site (NCEA on TKI) holds assessment resources and support material developed for use with achievement standard.
