Assessment and Examination Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools - 2010
Introduction
- These Rules and Procedures are made in respect of assessment and examinations under section 257, 265 and 266 of the Education Act 1989.
- The Assessment and Examination Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools 2009 are revoked as of 31 January 2010.
- These Rules and Procedures will be effective from 1 February 2010 until 31 January 2011.
- These Rules and Procedures specify the general requirements for the assessment and examination of the following qualifications and standards in secondary schools:
- National Qualifications Framework (NQF) qualifications
- Scholarship (2010)
- New Zealand university entrance.
- National Qualifications Framework (NQF) qualifications
- The principles of fairness, validity and transparency of assessment practice for all candidates are fundamental to the administration of qualifications in secondary schools and underpin these Rules and Procedures.
