6.1 General Conditions for External Assessment
The following administrative systems will apply to all externally assessed achievement standards, and Scholarship.
Guiding Principles for Sitting Examinations:
- NCEA and Scholarship examinations will be run at the published times in New Zealand , the Cook Islands and Niue.
- Candidates will attend the examination sessions for which they are entered.
- NZQA will develop an examination timetable derived from previous entry data designed to avoid predictable clashes.
- The timetable will be published in sufficient time to assist candidates make informed entry choices.
- Candidates with examination clashes will have their assessment needs accommodated in line with the administrative guidelines set out below.
