Top art tours the country
An exhibition of art from senior secondary school students has recently toured 25 centres nationwide. Called Top Art, the exhibition was a selection of 'excellence' graded folios for Level 3 NCEA Visual Arts assessment 2005. "The Top Art exhibition provides wider exposure for some of the best artists emerging from our secondary schools," says NZQA National Assessment Facilitator Sue Chalmers. "The aim is to show their peers, teachers and the wider public the quality of work produced by students at this level." Top Art is exhibited around New Zealand annually to 25 centres, including schools and public galleries. If you missed the exhibition, you can check out some of the highlights at: www.topart.school.nz |
