New Faces on the Board Government has announced four new appointments to the Board of the Qualifications Authority. The new members are Doug Armstrong (formerly CEO of UNITEC), Joan Baker (Director of Scholastic NZ Ltd and past director of school management development at colleges of education in Dunedin and Auckland), Jennifer Button (formerly headmistress of Wellington's Samuel Marsden Collegiate School), and Tina Olsen-Ratana, from the Association of Māori Private Training Establishments, and Manager of Kokiri Marae Seaview. Dr Frank Wood (Vice-Chancellor at Lincoln University) was appointed chair of the Board, succeeding Sir Neil Waters who resigned in June. Other members of the Board are David Moloney, Tony Hall, Catherine Gibson, Judith Carter and John Morris.
